Leiah has an original Nintendo in her basement, so it took me roughly 9 seconds to decide that needed to be set up. Then I challenged kids these days, specifically ones named Ben and Renee, to play Super Mario Brothers Original Version. Of course they died a hundred times. Luckily, their auntie has the expert Nintendo chops she developed as a 10 year old and I got them a bunch of lives at level 3-1 and sent them on their way. They adopted the diplomatic "trade turns when you die" that Shannon and I used to do. Alas, the torch is passed.
These dweebs really do make me happier than anything else on the planet. It's like being an adult but playing with my sisters at the ages they used to be.
